The world is not in your books and maps. It’s out there.
Aliza Razell: Magic and Mystic Photography
Massachusetts-based artist Aliza Razell creates tickling self-portraits that explore philosophical abstractions through the merged mediums of watercolour and photography. Using Photoshop, Razell unites the two mediums in her Anesidora (explorations of the Pandora’s Box myth) and Ikävä (the Finnish word meaning the feeling of longing) series.
A fox passing through the wood on business of its own stopped several minutes and sniffed.
‘Hobbits!' he thought. 'Well, what’s next? I have heard of strange doings in this land, but I have never heard of a hobbit sleeping out of doors under a tree. There’s something mighty queer about this.’
He was quite right, but he never found out any more about it.
